Bonswa from Dante

Bon Swa (Good Evening),

I think that it is safe to say Team Haiti is had had an incredible and successful first (full) day in Haiti. We started our day at Mass in the city Les Cayes, the second largest city in the nation. A late morning rain gave us a chance to cool off and relax for a bit at the Diocese Retreat center, where we stayed our first night. Following that, we hit the bumpy road to Fond Tortue, the small coffee growing community where we will be staying until Wednesday. Fond Tortue is part of network of growers located in the mountain region of Haiti and the only one of these small communities that can reached by motor vehicle.

  1. Very cool! I'm wondering how hot it is there...but the bigger (hair) question is...is it humid? ;) Sounds like a great learning experience and I hope you can bring some coffee back with you...I would love to taste it.
